In 1603, the Countness of Castellar Founded this convent for the Merced Order. Two and a half centurieslater the Duke of Medinaceli, holder of the title Count of Catellar, repossessed these lands and tuned the property into a hunting palace. Nowadays, the Convent-House belongs to La Almoraima estate. Set in an excepcional environment surrounded by nature in the heart of Los Alcornocales Park. The Convent-House provides excellent regional dishes many of which are local gem. There are two splendid dining rooms, billiard rooms and two elegantly furnished sitting rooms with fireplaces. The hotel proposes you some activities as a mini-golf, a tennis court, a seasonal swimming-pool, pony trekking and excursions by land-Rover to explore the estate. |

The 24 bedrooms are fully furnished with beautiful antiques, once inside you will feel comfortable and welcomed. All rooms have private bathrooms, heating, air conditioning, telephone, TV, safe, minibar and some have a fire place. The rooms are accessed though a central patio full of flowers. There is a cloister where you will feel at peace listening to the birds singing and the sound of a fountain while you take a quite drink. |
