Former Dominican Monastery of "Nuestra Señora de la Piedad" founded in 1509, the Hospedería Señorío de Casalarreina is a Historic-Artistic Monument, in Catholic-king and plateresque styles, built in stone with significant decoration and wooden ceilings. It is located in a privileged position in Casalarreina, from which its ancient name "Aranjuez de la Rioja" was derived. Casalarreina is close to Haro, capital of the Rioja Alta (Upper Rioja).
The original form was very finely renovated and decorated. The thick stone walls of the hotel, which keep both, the flavour and warm atmosphere that its ancestors enjoyed, bring us back into time.
Fun, art, culture, wine, rest, work, love, magic,...you can find it all in the Hospedería Señorio de Casalarreina.
The hotel houses 15 spacious rooms totally furnished with classy bathrooms, all fitted with huge jacuzzies and genuine decorative elements (stone set in forge, peculiar basins, mirrors, curtains, lamps, antique furnitures, ceiling, "trompe l'oeil" paintings...). |
